About Us
Warwickshire's gum specialist
Welcome to Periodontal Care, the Specialist Periodontal team at The Grove Practice in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
We are here for one simple reason – to help our patients feel better. We are people caring for people and we want to support people to live healthier lives. We are passionate about periodontics and helping patients improve their oral and general health. As oral health has been strongly linked with so many other conditions, prevention is the key.

Meet Our gum specialists
Led by Specialist Periodontitist, Dr. Viren Vithlani, Warwickshire’s leading periodontal practice was set up to support dentists, hygienists and therapists to help their patients achieve and maintain excellent gum health.
We are able to help patients with a variety of problems from gum disease (periodontitis), gum recession (mucogingival treatments) to gummy smiles (crown lengthening).
Specialist periodontists are also highly trained in replacing missing teeth with dental implants, as well as providing gum and bone grafts (regeneration) and treating gum disease around implants (peri-implantitis).

Your First Visit
This starts with a comprehensive consultation which lasts for approximately 1hr 15 mins, during which we will carry out a full assessment to get a full picture of any problems. Our periodontists will spend time with you to understand your concerns, diagnose any problems and involve you with all aspects of the treatment.
This year the practice has become the first in Warwickshire to introduce Diabetes screening into a dental practice and all patients with periodontitis (gum disease) are offered this as part of treatment.
With the introduction of diabetes screens, a focus on research, a range of equipment & instruments allowing minimally invasive non-surgical and micro-surgical techniques we are able to provide better outcomes and more comfortable treatments.

Referred Patients
If you have been referred to us, we will liaise with and work with your dentist to help you achieve the best outcome. Once your treatment has been completed and your gum health is stable, we can discharge you back to your dentist and hygienist to continue to look after your oral health.
We are passionate about education and our periodontists teach and lecture regularly, and can help as a supporting role in providing advice for dentists and hygienists in managing any gum problems themselves too. Of course, when specialist or advanced care is required, we are here to help.
